Hunger is a health issue and the BEST SOLUTION to any public health problem is PREVENTION!!!!
We ask for your support to reach our goal of $25,000. This money will be used to help provide food for over 6,000 people who come to our 19 food pantries each month. You can help us in our effort to strengthen LIVES, FAMILIES and COMMUNITIES against the threat of hunger.

We are in urgent need for canned foods like soup and vegetables to keep our shelves stocked!!!
To prevent hunger and keep families healthy, Lutheran Social Services of New York works with congregations and community organizations to set up food pantries and soup kitchens where they are needed most. By partnering with organizations on the local level, we are building a safety net that helps families where they live. The concept behind this is simple: Provide food as an ordinary fact of life for hungry families where they live, learn, work and play.
